Seakiss-live live to the full. That’s what Australian designster and surfer girl Rachael Sherriff had in mind when she started Seakiss in 2013. She grew up on the North Coast of NSW in Australia, learnt the basics of how to surf in her teens and continued whilst living in Bondi in her 20’s and then in different places around the globe until she moved to Dubai in 2008.

The intermediate conditions in Dubai, coupled with acquiring the right boards, training on the wave pool in Al Ain and starting a SUP fitness routine, progressed Rachael’s development as a surfer. The close proximity of Dubai to breaks in Sri Lanka and the Maldives & Oman meant tropical destinations were only a short flight away. In this time whilst consistently surfing tropical reef breaks, Rachael discovered there was a gap in the market for performance surf swimwear with fashion appeal.

She found her first pair of surf bikinis in Costa Rica whilst on a surf camp. It was here the seed had been planted to design the ultimate surf bikini: one that looked good yet stayed on!

In Bellangin Bali in 2013 whilst on a girls surf trip, SEAKISS was first sketched out. Whilst atop a cliff in a paddock with roaming cows overlooking the long reef surf break, the first designs were put to paper.

After two years of prototypes and hands on learning of the industry, the collection ‘The Tropics’ was released in January 2015.

The 2015 collection is inspired by Rachael’s favourite tropical surf destinations & pays homage to breaks in Bali, Maldives, Mexico, California & Costa Rica. Bold, colorful and fun with a mix of girly flirtation.

For Rachel, Seakiss is not just a surf swimwear label but a community of water lovers. “We embrace and encourage all women to strive for their dreams and live life to the full.
